Family violence is eating away at our families, our communities and culture.
Leaving a hole so immense. A stain so ingrained that the culture our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will experience, in my opinion, is closer to a war zone than a community.
And I’m not ok with that.
Strong family foundations are the answer and they’re not just about parenting, they’re about culture – what we model as a community.
A society built on fear, comparison, or conditional acceptance creates adults who are lost within themselves.
A non-perfect version of us is always better than an absent one.
So instead of labelling, naming, shaming and blaming, let’s start talking about what really holds a family — and a culture — together.
Not power. Not pride.
But presence.
