Because I was diagnosed over 12 months ago and apart from a prescription, I received no information or support, so after withdrawing into myself for some months to try and come to terms with this, I started googling for information and learned that there was to be a National Convention in early 2025 in Canberra. With the wonderful support of my daughter and granddaughter, who is a Registered Nurse who wanted to learn more about it as well as supporting me. The 3 of us attended for the 3 days, where I learned that so many people before me have had a similar experience after feeling very isolated, and that is not fair, just or what this nation is identified by…. Abandoning or ignoring us when we need help the most.
