My mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Lewy Body Dementia, after several falls within 12 months, 7 years ago, causing her to become completely immobile & fully dependent. With minimal carer support at home I became her full time carer for over 4 years only make the unwanted decision to place Mum into a nursing home to receive the additional carer support that she wasn’t able to receive at home due to reduced government support. All governments need to recognise the vital support Parkinson’s sufferers need urgently to make their completely changed lives more comfortable in their familar environment with necessary services
