Our son’s ex-partner nursed her father through it, and the eventual Dementia until his passing. Coupled with the stress of simultaneously nursing her mother through Cancer, until her passing, we saw a lovely young woman decline into a complete breakdown.
I, personally, have early signs, as yet undiagnosed, but I am very concerned, both for my own health, and for my husband and/or our sons, who will eventually have to care for me.
There should be more services available to help those who care for Parkinson’s sufferers — they are left alone to bear the horrible burden, both physically and psychologically, that Parkinson’s becomes, for them long after the sufferer dies.
