As a two time survivor of D.V. Our system needs to change. Survivors need to feel safe, our entire country needs to have one uniform national set of dv laws and victims need to be taken seriously and not dismissed as hysterical or unstable. D.V has life long effects and something needs to be done because under our current system I feel do not feel safe and I do not want to die at the hands of either of my exes.
