Living with a Parkinsons sufferer is difficult. Their voice gets softer, yet they don’t recognise this and accuse you of deafness. They cannot taste or smell so lose appetite and interest in food and feel low and lose weight. Their bodies get weaker because of this and they risk injury from stumbling. Their minds deteriorate and they get frustrated and angry. They are less caoable and confident of doing tasks so the tasks fall on the partner. I’m not able to do aditional work around the house – I have my own physical problems and limitations – yet I take it all on and I resent that our world is getting so small that no one helps us.
